Enter the "My Thrift Pledge" contest and win a trip to Philadelphia. Everyone who enters receives a FREE thrift patch.
 Tell us what you're willing to do to be thrifty, and you could be taking a trip to Philadelphia, Pa., the home of Benjamin Franklin, the "American Apostle of Thrift." It's easy to enter -- just click on the "Enter the Contest" tab at the top of the page.
Plus, we'll send a free Thrift Patch to the first 5,000 people who enter.
Click the "ENTER THE CONTEST" link in the tab at the top of the page and fill out the entry form.
We're giving away an all-expense paid trip to Philadelphia, Pa., for the grand-prize winner and one chaperone. The trip includes airfare, a three-night hotel stay and expenses. The grand-prize winner will also receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond.
Five runners-up will also receive a $500 savings bond. And the first 5,000 people who enter will get a free Thrift Patch.
The contest is open to legal residents of the United States including the District of Columbia who are between the ages of 11 and 17 at time of entry. See the official rules for additional restrictions.
Contest winners will be chosen by a panel of judges in April 2010. Pledges will be judged on whether they demonstrate a mastery of the true meaning of thrift. They should also follow the basic rules of spelling and grammar.
