Whether they are clearing a camp site, fixing toilets, or helping a community recover after a disaster, Scouts work hard every day to make our world a better place. Inspired by Distinguished Eagle Scout Mike Rowe, the "Dirt Patrol" helps recognize the acts of selfless, dirty service that makes a Scout a Scout.
Scouting leaders can recognize those who go ‘Above and Beyond’ to serve others with a Dirt Patrol patch, hat or coin available through Scout shops. There is no application or approval process for the recognition, which is awarded at the discretion of the unit leader.
Leaders are also encouraged to submit Dirt Patrol video stories using the form below. Boyslife.org will recognize some of the best Dirt Patrol stories in a section hosted by Mike Rowe.
